I was not prepared for the last thousand feet to turn into basically bushwhacking. I never research my routes but like it better that way. Almost turned around a couple times when I lost the primitive path or had trouble getting through deep mud but I’m glad I didn’t because the views were great and it delivered that feeling you only get when you know you’re completely alone and remote. Got really hot in the sun because I didn’t bring enough water for how long this ended up taking. Detoured to see Granite lakes.
